Mathias Schilling lives a double life. On the one side he is an innkeeper on the other side he is a farmer too. On the salt meadows of small Öhe island he grows cows and sheeps. Their organic meat is an essential part of the menu in Schillings Gasthof.
The fishermen from Hiddensee catch fish in the traditional way. With their cutter Anna Lena they go out on the baltic sea and cast their nets. Almost daily they land in Schaprode and bring us their fresh catch. Codfish, herring, turbot, wild salmon and garfish... Depending on the season.
